Here goes my story about my weekend. It was a three day weekend, and I was looking forward to it so much. I really don’t even remember what I did on Friday. Just hung out and started reading Paper Towns. I finished it last night. It was really good, and made me think a lot. And about things that I like to think about a lot. John Green has some great ideas and concepts; I really need someone like him in my life. Anyway, Saturday was the big day. I went to my cousin’s wedding shower, and they had the best cake. I want to start showing up at random wedding showers just so I can eat their cakes. I got to see a lot of my family too, which is good. Then I took my sister out to celebrate her birthday. We made up these fake and elaborate personas, but nobody even talked to us, oh well. There are about 300 tickets in the backseat of my car right now from the arcade. We played in there for a while, but then this black guy started acting crazy so we peaced out really quick. We can’t get away from those dang marketing people, they were there too. We finally decided on eating at Joe’s Crab Shack. They told us it would be an hour and a half wait, but Laura talked to them and worked her magic, and we got a table in about ten minutes. It was such a fun experience, mostly because we sat next to the loudest and craziest table in the whole place. Pretty sure they were buzzin’. So I told the waiter it was Laura’s birthday, and she freaked out. She had no idea I had been planning it all along. So she got to choose what to do, and had to find some cherries with only her mouth in a big bowl of whipped cream. Then we got our meal half-off because of a misunderstanding. Haha, it was a pretty good deal. Then we talked to a waiter there named James, whose voice did not match up at all to how I thought it would sound. We stopped by a friend’s house on the way home, which was a good ending to a good day. Saturday was sort of a test for me, and I handled it well. I think my new year’s resolution is working out really great. On Sunday I slept late, went for a nice bike ride, and not much else. Today I just studied, rode the skateboard a bit, and drove back. I can’t go without mentioning how nice the weather was this weekend, just absolutely perfect. And at the end of February, it’s nuts. It’s almost impossible for me to imagine that people are getting snow and stuff other places. 

Going home on the weekends is like going on a mini-vacation. But it’s not like going on a vacation to a beach house or somewhere foreign; it’s going on vacation to home. It’s a vacation away from being alone and living in my own little bubble most of the time. I don’t know what’d I’d do without them.
